Payroll Enrollment for Projects Outline

UROP pays student project grant funding directly to recipients as a stipend in one payment near the beginning of the awarded term.

Personal Information (PI) Form

Depending on your employment history with the university, you might need to provide some of your personal information using a form that allows our payment team to enter you into the payroll system.

Do I need to submit the Personal Information (PI) form?

Yes

If you have never been given an employee ID number (EID) by CU Boulder, you'll need to submit the Personal Information (PI) form.

No

If you already have a CU Boulder employee ID number (EID), you don't need to submit the Personal Information (PI) form.

If Yes:

When do I submit the PI form?

Refer to your decision notice or the timeline on this page for the deadline to submit the PI form.

How do I submit the PI form?

Direct Deposit

We strongly recommend setting up direct deposit to ensure you receive your payment in a timely manner; otherwise, you'll automatically be mailed a check to the mailing address in the myCUinfo system, which might not be your current residence.

When do I set up direct deposit?

Without EID / Inactive Employees

Students without an EID (or previous employees without an active position) can't set up or update direct deposit until they've been entered into the payroll system. Everyone will have access during the "direct deposit window" of their grant term.

Active Employees

Active employees can set up or update direct deposit at any time. We recommend that everyone confirm that their information is accurate during the "direct deposit window" of their grant term.
