The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected Distinguished Professor Daniel J. Scheeres, a CU Boulder aerospace engineer who has an asteroid named after him, and Adjunct Professor Philippe Spalart, a Boeing Technical Fellow, to its 2017 class.
