Fund your future: the FAFSA and scholarship application are now open
It’s time to apply for financial aid for the 2017-18 academic year. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open now for next year and instead of requiring tax information for 2016, it asks for 2015 tax information. That means you have no reason to wait to apply.
Campus targeted by phishing emails
The campus has recently been targeted by malicious emails that appear to be attempts to steal usernames and passwords. One such phishing email asked for further account verification which when followed, led people to a login page. These emails are not authentic. If you receive one, do not click on the link in the email. Individuals who received this email should simply delete the message. Click through for more information.
Study linking beneficial bacteria to mental health makes top 10 list for brain research
Research by integrative physiology professor Christopher Lowry found that injecting mice with a bacteria called Mycobacterium vaccae fended off physical and behavioral signs of stress. Now human studies are underway.
