Student Edition - Dec. 12, 2016

I would like to take my final column of the semester as an opportunity to celebrate CU's accomplishments with just a few examples of the way CU Boulder is impacting humanity, developing tomorrow’s leaders and establishing CU Boulder as the innovation university.

It's finals week, so make sure to keep it quiet out of respect for your fellow Buffs still studying for their exams. The city of Boulder is having a lot of fun this week and over break and hosting many student-friendly events, so get up and at 'em!

Are you working on a dissertation or creative-writing piece related to the American West? Thompson Awards for Western American Writing are now accepting submissions, with categories for both graduate and undergraduate students. Winners will be awarded $500 cash prizes!

For anyone who has lost a backpack or purse, Lang Mei feels your pain. After a thief stole his backpack from a coffee shop in Paris last year, the business administration senior began thinking about how to prevent that from happening again.

With classes finishing up, finals this week and break so close you can almost grasp it, it is clear that students, and professors alike all feel the pressure. Although it’s a crazy time, it’s important to push through and finish strong. We are so close!
