As I reflect on all we have accomplished together this year, I can’t help but always ask whether what we’ve done has contributed to the greater good of our community. This academic year, I believe firmly our university today is better than it was in August.

Beyond Boulder: Students design, build new playground in Denver
Environmental design students at CU Boulder are taking their education out of the classroom and into the community to design and build a neighborhood playground.
Freshmen and seniors: Engagement survey cash drawing closes April 17
Time is running out! Enter to win $500 by participating in the 2017 National Survey of Student Engagement. CU Boulder uses the data collected from freshmen and seniors to improve overall student engagement.

'Iron Chef' contestant to give cooking demos focused on sustainability
Chef Jehangir Mehta, a former "Iron Chef America" contestant and runner up for "The Next Iron Chef," will be performing two cooking demonstrations on campus for students April 11 and 12.
Celebrate National Student Employment Week with free cake
This week is National Student Employment Week. Stop by the north side of Regent Administrative Center for free cake this Thursday, April 13, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
CU Museum of Natural History to highlight Junius Henderson
The CU Museum of Natural History boasts the largest natural-history collection in the region. On April 12, Mona Lambrecht will lecture on the life of the building's namesake, Junius Henderson, who first curated the impressive collection more than 80 years ago.

Concrete work surrounding the information booth at Colorado Avenue and Libby Drive will begin Tuesday, April 11, causing lane closures and affecting access to Parking Lots 346, 359, 360 and 399 for about three weeks. The project is scheduled to run through May 1.
