Chancellor's Corner: Thank you to our community
As we come back together after a tough day on campus, I again extend my appreciation to all of our community members who stepped up and made a difference in each other’s lives yesterday.
Incident terminology: What is an active harmer?
During the two incidents yesterday, we heard from some of you about some of the terms we used in our emergency communication. We hope this will help everyone understand what the terms mean and why we use them.
Texas college system sends text alerts to some CU Boulder affiliates
After receiving several reports of a non-CU text alert received by some affiliates yesterday, campus officials began an investigation with the vendor that provides our text alert system, RAVE Mobile Safety. Searches in social media further revealed that the same message was being received by affiliates at many universities across the United States.

Emerging Artist Studio Tour and First Thursday, tonight
Join the Department of Art & Art History and the CU Art Museum for a great night out. Over 52 studio doors will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Visual Arts Complex, as part of the Boulder Open Studios Program. From 5 to 7 p.m. the CU Art Museum will celebrate the work of Boulder-based artist Ana Maria Hernando as part of their First Thursday program.
Global Citizen Award nomination deadline is Oct. 7
The Office of International Education (OIE) is seeking applications for its Global Citizen Awards, which honor and recognize outstanding contributions to international understanding by members of the CU Boulder community.
