Campus update regarding FLSA's planned changes
On Nov. 22 a preliminary injunction on the implementation of the planned changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act's (FLSA's) salary threshold for exemption from overtime pay was put in place. In response to this hold, the campus has revised its plans for compliance with the original Dec. 1 implementation date.
Offering new degrees in elementary education, leadership and community engagement
Two new undergraduate degrees are coming online in the fall, one designed to address teacher shortages particularly among high-needs communities, the other intended to turn out skilled, ethical leaders who can bridge differences and contribute to public work, be it in higher education, international development, urban planning or other areas.

Celebrating Elie Wiesel: Holocaust survivor, moral authority, political activist
CU Boulder's Program in Jewish Studies and the Boulder Public Library are hosting an event on the late Elie Wiesel, featuring a lecture and special presentation, at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Boulder Public Library.
Campus Sustainability Summit for fall 2016
The Environmental Center is hosting the Campus Sustainability Summit on Thursday, Dec. 1. The information-sharing forum will feature strategic updates and inter-departmental discussion on campus sustainability initiatives.
