Two faculty elected to National Academy of Engineering
The National Academy of Engineering (NAE) has elected Distinguished Professor Daniel J. Scheeres, a CU Boulder aerospace engineer who has an asteroid named after him, and Adjunct Professor Philippe Spalart, a Boeing Technical Fellow, to its 2017 class. Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer.
Tips on accessing your favorite Google apps via G Suite
In case you missed it, Google Apps recently changed names to G Suite, but users still have access to the same great applications like Groups, Drive, Sheets, Sites and more. All university affiliates are provisioned with G Suite accounts.

BuffsUnited to host teach-in on engaged citizenship Feb. 14
On Feb. 14, BuffsUnited will host Engaged Citizenship: A Teach-In, where faculty from across the campus will speak on a variety of issues including immigration law, free speech, government speech, the responsibility of the media, historical and contemporary racism, and environmental protections.

Josh Edelmann finished his six years of service with the U.S. Air Force and enrolled as an undergraduate student at CU Boulder last fall. He wanted to find a sense of camaraderie with his peers at the university that felt similar to what he experienced during his years in the military.
Students celebrate life in recovery at national skiathon and leadership summit
The CU Collegiate Recovery Center (CUCRC) recently hosted over 185 college students in recovery at the first-ever national Association of Recovery in Higher Education (ARHE) Skiathon to connect with each other and enjoy an epic adventure in the Colorado Rockies.
