Graduate Student Appreciation Week

National Public Health Week

Learn about CU Boulder’s public health efforts and a theme of “Centering and Celebrating Cultures in Health.” Join a variety of engaging activities throughout the week. 

Viewing of Dear Corky, Q&A with the director

4–5 p.m. Institute of Behavioral Science, Room 155A
For over 50 years, New York-born Corky Lee photographed Chinatown and other Asian American communities with a strong sense of social justice. He captured activists, celebrities and everyday heroes with equal passion, taking more than a hundred thousand photos before his death in 2021. Directed by Curtis Chin, Dear Corky reveals the man behind the camera.

Beat Back the Ban

In recent years, there has been an uptick in threats against the right to read. Engage in a conversation about free speech, book challenges and censorship. 

Ralphie’s Cooking Basics: French toast

5:30–7:30 p.m.  Village Center demonstration kitchen
Learn basic cooking skills with fellow Buffs! During this session, students will learn how to make a beloved breakfast staple: french toast.

Love Yourself

10 a.m.–noon  UMC 457
With finals coming up, you may be feeling overwhelmed. Take a break from studying and engage in self-care. Breakfast, coffee and tea will be provided. 

Lug Your Mug

9 a.m.–noon  ATLAS corridor, outside Pekoe Coffee Shop
Collect your reward for getting into the reusable mindset! Students who bring a reusable mug will receive free coffee.

Italian Film Festival: USA

8 p.m. Visual Arts, Room 1B20
CU Boulder is showcasing an Italian film festival! Enjoy the local premiere of six acclaimed Italian films, all in their original language with subtitles. 

Buffalo Nites: Spa night

7–9 p.m.  UMC Aspen Rooms 
Enjoy an evening of rest and relaxation. The Center for Student Involvement is offering free eyebrow threading, solid-color manicures and face masks.

Free Friday Power Hour: Kauit yoga

5 p.m.  Rec Center, Studio 2
Every Friday, the Rec offers CU students free fitness classes. This week will help students regain balance, mobility, flexibility and strength with Kauit yoga.
