Share your favorite family recipe and the story behind the dish for the Taste of Home program, a partnership between New Student & Family Programs and Campus Dining Services. Recipes are collected and shared in a virtual cookbook and a select few will be recreated and featured in campus dining centers. Submit your recipe by March 10. 

Practice self-care and build community at Wellness Wednesdays

Wellness Wednesday events provide a space to engage in self-care activities, meet fellow Buffs and learn about resources. Themes rotate weekly, and activities are free and open to all students! Upcoming events include creating compliment cards, building self-care kits and learning mindfulness tips. 

Nominate a faculty or staff member for the Marinus Smith Awards

The Marinus Smith Award recognizes faculty and staff members who have had a particularly positive impact on students. Honorees are nominated by those they teach, mentor, support and serve. Nominate a faculty or staff member for the awards by March 17.

Check out upcoming winter activities and trips with Outdoor Pursuits

Boulder and the surrounding areas are the perfect setting to recreate and enjoy the great outdoors. Participate in upcoming winter activities and trips such as snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park or the Boulder area, or enjoy a day of cross-country ski exploration in the Colorado Alpine. Trips and courses are designed with the beginner CU Boulder students in mind. Take advantage of learning new skills and exploring all that the area and state has to offer!

Pick up cold care supplies and more at the Apothecary

The Apothecary at Wardenburg Health Center is a full-service pharmacy open to students, faculty, staff and the community. The Apothecary maintains a large over-the-counter selection of items including vitamins, minerals, herbs, allergy and cold care, menstrual supplies, food and beverage options, sports care and more.

 Nominate someone for a CU Involvement Award

Do you know someone that exemplifies leadership? Nominate them for a CU Involvement Award! Each year the Center for Student Involvement and the Colorado Creed take nominations of students, student organizations, faculty and staff who exemplify leadership and passion across the Boulder community. Submit a nomination by March 24.

Apply for the UMC Board

If you’re up for an exciting challenge, the UMC Board is now accepting applications. The board meets on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to create policy, develop creative solutions to challenging issues and foster leadership skills. During a typical year, the board routinely discusses food vendor, retail and services options; budgets and spending; sustainable practices; CU NightRide; UMC scholarship distribution and more.  Become a CU Restorative Justice facilitator

The CU Restorative Justice facilitator training starts Feb. 23. As a facilitator, you will create an open and safe space for student and community representatives. The training educates students, faculty, staff and community members on restorative justice processes and facilitating dialogue. Sign up for the training, or email curj@colorado.edu with any questions.

Apply to be a McNair Scholar

If you are a sophomore or junior interested in going to graduate school or getting a doctorate degree, consider applying to the McNair Scholars Program, a federally funded program with the goal of increasing the attainment of doctoral degrees by students underrepresented in graduate education. To apply or learn more, visit the program website, or plan to attend an information session Feb. 17, Feb. 21 or Feb. 24.
