Friday Film Series Outdoor Movie: ‘Booksmart’

Join Program Council for a movie screening under the stars. “Booksmart” follows two high school seniors, who have only focused on academics, as they try to make up for it by packing all four years of high school fun into one night. 

Volunteer at Table Mesa Community Garden

Did you know CU has a Farm and Garden Club? Check out their community garden at Table Mesa and lend a helping hand. Volunteer gardeners will help weed, plant, harvest, clean up and more. 

DIY Night: Friendship bracelets

The Center for Student Involvement is inviting students to an evening of friendship and bracelet making. Space is limited, so be sure to sign up as soon as possible. 

Industry Job Search Seminar for grad students, postdocs

This virtual, multi-day seminar happens once a semester and is meant to provide professional guidance for graduate students and postdocs. The sessions include a presentation, resources and a Q&A session.

Acudetox

Stop by the UMC for free acupuncture treatment from Health and Wellness Services and Student Affairs. Also known as acudetox, the treatment can help with depression, pain, addiction, PTSD and trauma.

Friday Night Film Series: ‘Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure’

Student Gameday Huddle

Huddle up and stand together, shoulder to shoulder. Join this tailgating tradition before most home games for free food, giveaways, games, music and a chance to meet Ralphie the buffalo. The first 200 students to show up at the Sept. 16 and Sept. 30 games will receive a free T-shirt.

Swipe It Forward

Swipe It Forward is a program that helps fight food insecurity on campus. If you have a meal plan, you can donate up to three meal swipes, at the rate of one per day, to a Buff in need. 

DIY Night: Moss art

Get in touch with nature by creating a craft out of natural materials. Crafters will use moss, pebbles and other materials to create their artwork. 

Budgeting and Saving with Limited Income

Budgeting and saving are important life skills. During this presentation, the city of Boulder and Elevations Credit Union will teach students how to create a budget that aligns with their income. 

Health Hut: Hazing trivia

Hazing is a harmful practice, unfortunately experienced at many universities. During this Health Hut, students will learn how to recognize signs of hazing and what to do about it.

CU in the Community: Replenish animal habitats

During this volunteer session, help out Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center prepare for the busy season. Volunteers will clean animal condos, set-up enrichment and complete other yard work. 

3v3 sled hockey tournament

Sept. 29  5–9 p.m.  Rec Center ice rink 
The Rec is having a free cross-ice sled hockey tournament. All equipment is provided. Buff OneCard required. 

Fleshimals art installation

All month  CU Museum of Natural History
Fleshimals is an art installation by Dover Horesh, a museum studies student, that addresses the way humans try to replicate the benefits of endangered species with technology.
