CU Boulder Chancellor Philip DiStefano will join Boulder Mayor Pro Tem Rachel Friend at a community event on July 27 to explore how the university and the local community are building a just and sustainable future, together.
The evening event at the downtown Boulder Theater will provide attendees the opportunity to learn more about upcoming CU Boulder projects and partnerships—including the campus of the future and how CU Boulder is leading the way on climate change action with the Right Here, Right Now Global Climate Summit this December in partnership with United Nations Human Rights.
Speakers will include DiStefano; Friend; Jim Anaya, dean emeritus and distinguished professor of international law; Karen Bailey, assistant professor of environmental studies, and Jamie Wittenberg, associate dean of the University Libraries.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore CU Boulder exhibits and enjoy food and drinks. Following the event, all are welcome to experience the free musical performances at Bands on the Bricks on nearby Pearl Street, sponsored by CU Boulder, for the evening.
