As the spring semester continues, graduate students are encouraged to take advantage of two ongoing health and wellness events.

Ask an Advocate

Ask an Advocate is sponsored by the Office of Victim Assistance (OVA). This free, confidential service connects CU Boulder students, graduate students, staff and faculty with a confidential advocate counselor to consult and to see if OVA services would be helpful based on their experience. The chat’s goal is to broaden OVA's accessibility to the CU community and to provide an alternative means of connecting to resources. No appointment is necessary. Both in-person and virtual discussions are offered.

Upcoming sessions:

  • Feb. 16 (online)
  • Feb. 23 (in person)

Supporting Student Resiliency

The Supporting Student Resiliency Professional Development Series provides graduate students, faculty and staff with concrete skills to better support students. Offered by several departments in the Division of Student Affairs, sessions focus on areas critical to student retention and success. Attend any individual session; receive a non-degree certificate if you attend all six sessions.

Upcoming sessions:

  • Feb. 17: Supporting Survivors: How to Respond in a Trauma Informed Way to Someone Who Discloses a Traumatic Experience
  • Feb. 24: Supporting Student Mental Health
