Do you want to make changes to your teaching but are worried about the time it takes to revise your courses? Research shows that small changes to class routines can make big impacts on student learning.

The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) is pleased to offer the Summer Teaching and Assessment Institute for CU faculty of all ranks. The institute will feature a mix of activities derived from research on learning to improve your teaching. Participants will leave with a solid set of teaching tools and a feasible plan for fall courses.

Stephanie Foster, assessment lead, and Jason Lagapa, professional development lead for the CTL, are looking forward to sharing their experiences with innovative teaching and learning assessment. The institute is an opportunity to learn from colleagues and have a bit of fun while testing new skills.

The institute will take place May 24–28, 2021, and will be fully online via Zoom. Find the full schedule on the program website.

Participants will earn a $500 stipend for completing the institute, and will also receive a copy of Small Teaching: Everyday Lessons from the Science of Teaching. Participants will read selections from the book in preparation for the week.

Participation is limited to 20 participants; applications are due by April 19, 2021. Learn more and apply.
