This weekend brings the MLK Day food pantry and letter writing events, Recovery at the Rock Gym, free in-person and virtual fitness classes at The Rec and more.

Friday, Jan. 15

Recovery at the Rock Gym

Session 1: 5:45–6:45 p.m. Session 2: 6:45–7:45 p.m.  Rec Center
Recreation Services and the Collegiate Recovery Center invite you to join others who are in recovery for a fun-filled evening of bouldering. Get basic climbing instruction while connecting with others. Reservations are required. 

Free fitness classes

Jan. 15–18 Student Rec Center and virtual
Take part in a free fitness class through The Rec this weekend! From HITT workouts to yoga, you can register for in-person or virtual classes. If you’re visiting the Rec Center, don’t forget to bring your Buff OneCard!

Mobile Food Pantry

 11 a.m. to 1 p.m Parking lot next to Wolf Law (Lot 470)
The Mobile Food Pantry is free and open to CU Boulder students, faculty and staff and to members of Boulder County. Receive up to 30 lbs. of food in multiple boxes. Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Buffs After Dark: Virtual Escape Room

 7 p.m.  Zoom
Just like physical escape rooms, digital escape rooms provide a challenging adventure! You’ll get the same puzzles and tasks to overcome as you all work toward a shared goal—escaping the room—but it’s all virtual! And to kick up the intensity a notch, you and your crew will only have a limited amount of time to do it. Learn more about Buffs After Dark.

MLK Day of Service: Virtual letter writing

 1–3 p.m. Virtual
Volunteer your time to write letters of support to communities who need a little motivation to stay connected and encouraged. Meet other fellow Buffs and learn how writing letters can be a form of service and the change you can make in your community. Register to save your spot today!
