Free virtual fitness classes: Finals Week at The Rec

Dec. 7–11  Virtual
The Rec Center will be hosting free activities and events for students during finals week. Reservations are required for all activities and all participants must be a Rec Center member. You can also join fitness and wellness for free live virtual fitness classes! The fitness schedule is available, and reservations are now open. Class times vary so check the schedule to make a reservation!


Monday, Dec. 7

Pawffice Hours

1–3:30 p.m.  Virtual 

Stop by Pawffice Hours where you can Zoom with campus librarians and meet their furry family members. Please drop-in any time for a pause in your studies.

Drop-in meditation

2–4 p.m.  Virtual 
Join Health Promotion for a meditation practice from home and an open conversation about practicing mindfulness.


Tuesday, Dec. 8

Super Surprise Study Session

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Virtual
Need a study break? Log on to CU GOLD's Super Surprise Study Session. This interactive event will allow you to study with peers all day with a brain break activity every hour. 

BYO Coffee and the Campus Budget

9–10 a.m.  Virtual
CU Boulder's favorite budget discussion has gone virtual, and there are two more sessions slated for the fall semester. Plan to attend Dec. 8 or 9.

Industry Updates and Trends

12–1 p.m.  Virtual
Join this workshop to learn about updated job market trends by industry and get answers to your questions from employer industry career specialists.

Stress Less: Virtual yoga

2:30–4 p.m.  Virtual
Take a break from studying for finals and join your fellow transfer students during our virtual stress relief yoga session. All skills levels welcome, and no equipment required (yoga mat suggested). Register here.

Virtual Wilderness Workshop: Backcountry cooking

5:30–7 p.m.  Virtual
Tired of eating ramen or want to learn how to cook in the back-country using stoves or cooking over a fire? This clinic will cover how to cook over a stove and explain how to cook over a fire while also sharing favorite recipes. And then the best part, you get to eat what you prepare! Register by Monday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m.

Wellness Wednesday: Mindfulness

Set up a mindfulness practice and reap the benefits.

Basketball shootaround at The Rec

4–7 p.m.  Rec Center
Reserve a spot to come to the Rec Center with a couple of friends and shoot some hoops. Each person must reserve a spot to join.
