Addressing topics such as building trust online and practicing self-kindness in our new reality, the Ombuds Office is hosting free "lunch and learn" sessions for students, faculty, instructors and staff. All sessions will be hosted online via Zoom at noon on each Tuesday in May; registration is required.

Sessions being offered include the following:

May 5: "Building Trust Online"

Associate Director Liz Hill will discuss ways to foster trust among your team in a remote working environment.

Director Kirsi Aulin will discuss how motive impacts effective communication and the importance of clarifying intentions—especially when everyone is working remotely!

May 19: "Practicing Self-Kindness In Our New Reality"

Ombuds Program Administrator Kerry McLean will discuss how to deal with initial emotions and feelings about and gain acceptance of our new reality. What can we can do to acknowledge where we are, get unstuck and work towards moving forward?
