Provost Russell Moore today announced he has granted an extension of the search for a dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science, with the goal of having a new dean named by the close of the fall 2020 semester.

“Due to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, CEAS dean search chair Scott Adler has asked for, and I have granted, an extension of the search timeline,” said Moore.

Adler, who serves as the dean of the Graduate School and vice provost for graduate affairs, said the committee would “conduct interviews with candidates using remote technology during the remainder of spring semester, with the goal of hosting on-campus interviews beginning in the fall semester.”

Moore said that in the interim, CEAS Interim Dean Keith Molenaar has agreed to stay on in his interim role “in order to provide strong and steady leadership for our world-class engineering college.”
