Active harmer attacks are occurring with too much frequency across the United States. They happen in different types of locations, different days of the week or different times of day. You never know when you may find yourself in this situation, but if you do, your best chance of survival is to be prepared.

The CU Boulder Police Department is offering its free active harmer response training on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in room 328 in the Champions Center, 2140 Stadium Drive. No registration is necessary for the training session.

In the training, you will learn about the Department of Homeland Security’s program, “Run. Hide. Fight.” This is the national response protocol when you are facing any type of active harmer situation in any location. More information about the “Run. Hide. Fight.” program is available on the CUPD website.
