Tuesday, Dec. 10

Fill Your Mug: Journey Leader open house, de-stress event

Let your mind relax from studying while you decorate mugs, enjoy a hot beverage and snacks, and learn all about the Journey Leader program.

Journey to the Center of Stillness

6 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
Join a fully-immersive and multi-sensorial guided meditation to reconnect your body and mind before finals. All are warmly welcome, and no experience is necessary. Free admission.

Program Council Film Series: A Christmas Story

8–10 p.m.  Chem 140
Follow the wintry exploits of youngster Ralphie Parker (Peter Billingsley), who spends most of his time dodging a bully (Zack Ward) and dreaming of his ideal Christmas gift, a "Red Ryder air rifle," in this beloved holiday movie.

Taste of Home

Dec. 10–12  5 p.m.  Various dining halls
Enjoy some comfort food at the annual Taste of Home event! Recipes submitted by CU families will be featured in Sewall Dining Center Tuesday, Village Center Dining on Wednesday and Center for Community Dining Center on Thursday. All dining centers accept meal plans, campus cash and Munch Money; the Village Center and C4C also accept credit and debit cards.


Wednesday, Dec. 11

Wellness Wednesdays: Open house

2–4 p.m.  Wardenburg, third floor 
Stop by Health Promotion to prep for finals week. Make a stress ball, get a cup of tea and pick up some cold care supplies!

DSCC Fun Before Finals

4–8 p.m.  UMC 457
Join the Dennis Small Cultural Center for their biannual event Fun Before Finals. Come relieve some stress through crafting and get free food!


Thursday, Dec. 12

Late Night Breakfast

9 p.m. UMC, first floor
Hungry Buffs, pack up your study gear and head to the UMC for fun activities and a free meal. Relax, take a break and re-energize yourself before finals. The breakfast menu includes: make-your-own breakfast burrito, scrambled eggs, country-style potatoes, bacon, oatmeal and much more.

Dec. 13–18: Finals Free Week at The Rec

Treat yourself to a workout and blow off some steam at The Rec during finals free week! There are a variety of activities you can choose from including free fitness classes, bouldering in the climbing gym, climbing shoe rentals and ice skate rentals. See Rec Center hours.


Friday, Dec. 13

Super Surprise Study Sesh

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. UMC, third floor
Join for a day of studying and fun: Food, prizes and more will be given away each hour! Stay all day or stop by for a couple of minutes to get a studying boost and learn about getting more involved on campus.

DIY holiday gifts

1–3 p.m. Museum of Natural History, BioLounge
Take a break from studying and drop in to the BioLounge for a crafty afternoon to make handmade, heartfelt gifts for everyone on your list.
