Feel Good Fridays

There’s no better way to dive into the weekend. Stop by this drop in workshop at the CU Art Museum, for an opportunity to be led through a powerful guided meditation to undo stress, soothe the nervous system and feel better. Remember to arrive on time, there is no late admittance.

International Education Week coffee hour

This special International Coffee Hour will feature a display of the 2019 photo contest submissions, recognize CU Boulder Global Citizen awardees and 2019 photo contest winners. Appetizers, coffee and cake will be provided.

Fri-Yay Nights: Middle East Night

 7–11 p.m. UMC Glenn Miller Ballroom
Make connections, build community and have fun at Fri-Yay Nights! With a wide range of different events, Fri-Yay Nights brings a variety of fun activities to kick off the weekend right. Enjoy performances that showcase Middle Eastern culture, including singing, dancing and instrumentals. This event also includes a fashion show and comedy segment. There will be free food, henna, art displays and a photo booth. 

Science Under the Dome: Who is Roy G. Biv?

This month's Science Under the Dome talk features astronomy graduate student Sam as he discusses the science behind color and how that affects technology and the world around us. He also will give this talk on Nov. 13.

Diwali Celebration

Join the Indian Student Association in celebrating Diwali! Enjoy a night filled with performances, free Indian food and an open dance floor with DJ Prashant and Bollywood Dreams Entertainment.

Inclusive Rec: Learn to play pickleball

1–3 p.m.. Rec Center, first floor lower courts
Join Recreation Services and the American Pickleball Association to learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the United States. No experience is necessary and all equipment will be provided.

It’s a Wonderful Life opera

It may be Christmas, but for George Bailey it is anything but the most wonderful time of the year. Based on the 1946 movie of the same name, Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer's brand new opera adaptation of It's a Wonderful Life follows a young guardian angel named Clara as she attempts—with heart and just a bit of holiday magic—to prove to George what an incredible impact he's had on his small town. The Phantom Carriage: Silent film and live music

2 p.m.  Muenzinger Auditorium
The Phantom Carriage tells the story of a ghostly carriage driver who forces a drunken man to look back at his wasted life on New Year's Eve. This film screening and accompanying live performance of the score celebrate director Rodney Sauer's recent gift of silent film scores from the Grauman Theater Collection.
