With the end of the semester in sight and many beginning to plan for the approaching holidays, I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to each of you for your work and dedication to the university over the past year. I am proud to say that because of your commitment and hard work, the University of Colorado Boulder is able to transform lives, rise to new challenges and shape tomorrows leaders. We shine because of each of you, and your contributions continue to differentiate this campus as an outstanding place to learn, teach and work.
As a way to show that appreciation beyond just words, I am pleased to announce that CU Boulder campus employees will be granted an additional 16 hours of holiday leave (prorated for part time) to be used between Nov. 25, 2019, and Jan. 3, 2020, and an early release day at 2 p.m. (or 3 hours if schedule is varied) on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. This is in addition to the already scheduled holiday days on Nov. 28, Nov. 29, Dec. 24, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Please make sure that you coordinate with, and receive the approval of, your supervisor in scheduling the holiday leave. Questions should be directed to the Department of Human Resources (x2-6475).
Thank you again for all that you do to make CU Boulder excellent.
Philip P. DiStefano, Chancellor
