This weekend brings to campus a Friday night football game, CU in the Community, laser Halloween show at Fiske, a dance concert and more.

International Coffee Hour

Free coffee, snacks and a chance to have good conversations with interesting people. For armchair travelers, international affairs majors, study abroad program returnees, international students and scholars—all CU students, scholars, staff and faculty are welcome!

Volunteer with Ralphie’s Green Stampede

 5 p.m. Folsom Field
Help continue to make game day a green day! Ralphie's Green Stampede Zero Waste Goalies help educate fans about compost and recycling in Folsom Field. Goalies help us win the Pac-12 Zero Waste Bowl as a top university diverting wast from landfills. Volunteers receive free entry to the game, a free Ralphie's Green Stampede T-shirt and meal, and time to enjoy the fourth quarter. Sign up here.

Fri-Yay Night: Munchies, Monsters and Murals

 5–7 p.m. ​ UMC Aspen Suites
Kick off your weekend right with Fri-Yay Nights! Enjoy some leisure time with a paint-by numbers kit, learn about the UMC Student Arts Program and munch on a variety of snacks. Free with a valid Buff OneCard.

Comedy open mic

Looking for a laugh? Bring a friend and come to the CU Comedy Club Comedy Open Mic! All are welcome, no experience necessary to take the mic!

Football tailgate: Domestic violence awareness

4–7 p.m.  Wardenburg
Join the CU Boulder Office of Victim Assistance and CU Boulder Athletics for the third annual domestic violence awareness and prevention game tailgat. We will be giving out free clear bags to use at the game.

7 p.m.  Folsom Field
All fans are encouraged to wear black for the University of Southern California game. Students who don’t have a CU Sports Pass can purchase tickets for $25 at the ticket office this week.

Interested in service and giving back to the community? CU in the Community offers multiple opportunities for students to connect with the community in a more significant way through volunteerism. Student led service projects will build an understanding of social and environmental issues, allow students to engage in strong direct service, and reflect on their impact and continued engagement in communities. Food and transportation are provided by the Volunteer Resource Center.

Laser Halloween Spooktacular and Freaky Moons

2:30–3:30 p.m.  Fiske Planetarium
Join Fiske Planetarium for a spooktacular laser music Halloween show, plus a tour of the creepy, odd ball moons that exist right in our own solar system. 

Lacunae: An MFA dance concert

7:30 p.m.  University Theatre, Charlotte York Irey Theatre
MFA dance candidates Kristen Holleyman, Gretchen LaBorwit and Kelley Ann Walsh star in this dance concert that you don't want to miss.


Sunday, Oct. 27

CU soccer vs. California

1 p.m.  Prentup Field
The Buffs regular season schedule concludes with Senior Day against the Cal Bears. There will be a free shirt giveaway, while supplies last; and Ralphie will be running before the match, so be sure to show up early to see her pregame. Admission is free for all students with a Buff OneCard.

CU volleyball vs. Washington

1 p.m.  CU Events Center
Come support the Buffs as they face the Huskies. Admission is free for all students with their Buff OneCard.
