Friday, Sept. 6

Spirit Day on the Quad

11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Norlin Quad
Get ready for game day with Spirit Day on the Norlin Quad! This exciting new Herd event will feature free food for Herd members, lawn games, prizes and more.

CU on Friday: Roast the Corn (Huskers)

3–6 p.m. UMC South Terrace
Prepare for the big CU Buffs vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers with a feast of roasted corn, corn dogs, corn salad and popcorn! Navigate the “Beat Nebraska” corn maze, play giant cornhole and celebrate being a Buff!

Free Friday Power Hour: Tuff Buff

5–6 p.m.  Student Rec Center Studio 1
Ready to blow off some steam? This class offers high intensity, power-based movements to improve your endurance, strength and flexibility. Participants will use a variety of equipment to challenge themselves in this fun, fast-paced class. Join The Rec for a free Power Hour every Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. Bring your Buff OneCard for entry.

Program Council Film Series: Rocketman

Don't miss the start of Program Council's Film Series, as they kick off the semester with Rocketman

An epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John's breakthrough years. The film follows the fantastical journey of transformation from shy piano prodigy Reginald Dwight into international superstar Elton John. This inspirational story is set to Elton John's most beloved songs and performed by star Taron Egerton.

International Coffee Hour

4–5:30 p.m. UMC Main Dining Area
Stop by this weekly event for free coffee, tea and snacks. This is a great opportunity to connect with the international community here at CU Boulder. Units from across campus also frequently join the event to share information about the student services they provide.

Sunday, Sept. 8

New exhibit: Feathers and Fauna, A Natural Relationship

10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  CU Museum of Natural History
Check out the CU Museum of Natural History's new exhibition of contemporary botanical illustrations inspired by the museum’s acclaimed collections. The original works of art are rendered by the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists in watercolor, graphite, colored pencil and mixed medium, and all meet criteria for scientific accuracy, aesthetics and technical mastery. 

CU soccer vs. Baylor

1–4 p.m.  Prentup Field
Support your CU women soccer team as they take on the Baylor Bears in this match at Prentup Field. The Buffs are 4-0 and looking for another win!
