Welcome from the UGGS president

On behalf of the United Government of Graduate Students (UGGS), I’d like to welcome all graduate students to the fall semester. UGGS is here to represent you and support you during your time at CU Boulder.

Every other week, graduate students from across campus gather to present and discuss initiatives that advance the mission of the university for the benefit of our entire campus and the graduate student community. Department representatives and UGGS officers work together to prioritize UGGS's efforts, implement new projects and oversee the UGGS budget.

I encourage you to connect with us—in person or through your representative—and get involved. Our assembly meetings are open to all graduate and professional students, and are a great forum in which to share your voice and foster change. Our next assembly meeting is Monday, Sept. 10, at Hale Science, Room 230, from 5­ to 6 p.m. I hope to see you there.
