Part of the Colorado Law Talks series in Denver, University of Colorado Law School Associate Professor Anna Spain Bradley on Sept. 12 will discuss recent challenges and threats to human rights in America and around the world.
Her talk will focus on the historical connection between America's civil rights movement and the promotion of human rights under international law, shared common challenges and a future vision that deepens the relationships among communities across borders.
Spain Bradley recently received a 2018 OZY Educator Award, given to five educators across th e country. She specializes in public international law, international dispute resolution, international human rights, peace and security, and law and neuroscience.
Colorado Law Talks is a series of lectures in Denver that provide members of the Colorado Law community an opportunity to hear about the lecturers’ current research or teaching and to discuss the questions and ideas that motivate, influence and shape their work. The talk is followed by a reception.
This event is free for all Colorado Law students, faculty and staff; recent (2013–18) graduates; and Law Alumni Ambassadors. Tickets are $10 for all other alumni and $20 for other guests. Proceeds from this talk will benefit the Program for the Advanced Study of International Human Rights.
