The Body is Not an Apology: An Introduction to Radical Self-Love

Head to the Women’s Resource Center in UMC 416 from 1 to 2 p.m. to learn about a new tool for dismantling systems of oppression, from the work of Sonya Renee Taylor.

Interested in studying abroad in Barcelona, Florence or Prague in spring 2019? Stop by the Rec Center 4–6 p.m. to open an application and enter a raffle for a weekend Euro trip. These programs can fill, so grab a friend and reserve your spots early. Plus, get free pizza.

Career Services Pit Stop

Career Services in C4C N352 will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for drop-in appointments and free professional headshot photos. Stop by to chat with career advisors about any work-related questions you have, including job searches, graduate school applications, résumés and cover letters, salary negotiation and other topics. Additionally, students can have a free professional headshot photo taken for LinkedIn profiles. No appointment is necessary; just drop in!

CU Boulder student organizations celebrate Earth Day

Stop by the UMC fountain area from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an Earth Day celebration hosted by 10 CU Boulder student organizations. The event will include a sustainable prize giveaway, smoothie bike, displays of student innovation, the CU Plastics team and more. 

Hasan Minhaj talk

Hasan Minhaj, comedian, actor, writer and senior correspondent on The Daily Show, will speak in Macky Auditorium. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the event starts at 7 p.m. Advance tickets required.

Diversity, Inclusion and Academic Excellence Plan update session

Drop by UMC 235 at 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. to join in a conversation about the campus's working definition of Inclusive Excellence and to hear updates on the Diversity, Inclusion and Academic Excellence Plan. Learn more here.

How to Go Abroad Again Workshop

Studied abroad and looking for a way to get back overseas? Hear from a panel who have followed the same path through teaching abroad, Peace Corps and personal international travel. Career Services will also be on hand to talk about international job opportunities. Join from 5 to 6 p.m. in the C4C JD Abrams Lounge.

Eco-Engage: Wildlands Restoration and Conservation

This Eco-Engage event is focused on wildlands restoration and conservation and includes getting out to meet people working in these fields, as well as visiting their restoration and conservation projects. The workshop takes place from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Meet in the C4C lobby. Registration is required.

Friday Night Film Series: Across the Universe

Join Program Council from 8 to 11 p.m. for this musical tale of romance, war and peace set to Beatles tunes. Free admission and popcorn.
