This week brings to campus therapy dogs, the opening of nominations for the CU Involvement Awards, the final career fair of the year, the student government candidates debate, free lunch from The Sink, the New Venture Challenge championships, a time-management workshop, a panel discussion on the Trump presidency, a hackathon with the Department of Defense's technology accelerator MD5 and this month's CU on Friday.

Tuesday, April 3

Bark Buddies at Norlin Library

Are you feeling feel stressed out or in need of a study break with finals fast approaching? Stop by Norlin Library from 2 to 4 p.m. for a study break with a therapy dog. See the full schedule of therapy dog visits.

CU Involvement Awards Nominations

Nominations are open for the CU Involvement Awards, which celebrate leadership, engagement and involvement on campus. Nominate any student, student organization or faculty/staff member who exemplified leadership and passion across the Boulder community. Nominations will close at 5 p.m. Monday, April 16.


Wednesday, April 4

New Venture Challenge Championships

Stop by the Boulder Theater at 5:30 p.m. to watch participants from across campus compete for the $100K NVC 10 grand prize. The event is free, but you must register to attend.

Just in Time Career Fair

Are you stressed about finding a job after graduation or an internship for the summer? Make sure to attend the final career fair of the year! More than 70 employers from numerous industries will be on campus for a day of networking. The fair is open to students from all majors, experience levels and backgrounds. Dress professionally and come prepared with copies of your résumé and best elevator pitch. Join from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the UMC ballroom.

Student Government Candidates Debate

Candidates running for CU Student Government offices will have a debate in Hale 230 at 6:30 p.m. Learn more about your candidates before elections next week.

Spring Welcome Wednesday

Stop by the Koenig Alumni Center between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for a free lunch from The Sink. This month's featured guests are CU alumni living and working abroad. Have some lunch and find out how you can get an international internship or job.

Time-management workshop

It is never too late to get some time management into your life. Join the Student Academic Success Center for a time-management workshop at 10 and 11 a.m. in room N303 of Norlin Library.

“Assessing the Trump Presidency: Revolution, Realignment, or Chaos?”

Join the Center for Western Civilization, Thought & Policy for a panel discussion about the Trump presidency. The free discussion starts at 5:30 p.m. in Hale Science, room 230.


Friday, April 6

Critical Infrastructure Hackathon

MD5, the Department of Defense's technology accelerator, will hold one of Colorado's biggest hackathons of the year (up to four winning teams will share a total of $15,000 of investment funds) on the weekend of April 6 at CU's Idea Forge. Orientation will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Idea Forge, and hacking will go through midday Sunday. CU on Friday

Students, faculty and staff are invited to CU on Friday in The Connection from 4 to 6 p.m. This month’s theme is "Love Where You Live" with free root-beer floats, snacks and the opportunity to start your own tiny garden.
