Hasan Minhaj to speak at CU Boulder April 19
Hasan Minhaj, comedian, actor, writer and senior correspondent on The Daily Show, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Macky Auditorium. The Cultural Events Board, a CU Boulder student organization, is hosting the event. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Tickets sales will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at the first-floor event table in the University Memorial Center. CU Boulder student ($2) and faculty/staff ($10) tickets will be cash-only and will require a valid Buff OneCard at time of purchase. Public tickets ($25) will be available beginning at 10 a.m. April 10, exclusively at colorado.edu/macky.

Minhaj is also the host of the docu-series Stand up Planet, which was financed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The series, which was filmed in South Africa, India and the United States, highlights economic problems throughout the world through the lens of stand-up comedians.
He recently filmed the feature films Rough Night and Most Likely to Murder, regularly performs stand-up and participates in storytelling shows (such as The Moth) around the country. His viral web series The Truth with Hasan Minhaj has been featured in countless publications including The Huffington Post, Gawker and The New York Times.
The Cultural Events Board’s mission is to provide programming that brings culture, diversity and social awareness to the CU Boulder campus. Minhaj explores topics spanning social issues and politics through comedy, creating a combination that both informs and entertains.
