A CU Boulder student was injured in a deadly shooting early Thursday morning near Colorado State University in Fort Collins. A CSU student and two others died in the shooting. Megan Dierker, a senior who is majoring in psychology and pre-health, has been publicly identified as the fourth victim. She has been recovering from her injuries in a local hospital.
“Megan is in our thoughts in the aftermath of this terrible tragedy. We hope that she makes a full recovery and is able to rejoin us on the Boulder campus when she is ready. We have reached out to Megan’s family and have campus support services available to those who may be impacted during this time,” said Chancellor Philip DiStefano.
Chancellor DiStefano issued a message to the CU Boulder community Saturday stating he had reached out to CSU’s President Tony Frank to offer our support and to urge students, faculty or staff affected by the incident to take advantage of campus support services.
