Last week, CU Boulder Police Department (CUPD) officers discovered two people sleeping inside of a closet at Folsom Stadium. After speaking to suspects Robert Thomas Hawley and Ania Y. Schill, officers discovered items that were reported as stolen earlier this year, including electronics, tools, clothing, keys and more.

In total, four theft cases have been closed from these arrests. Both people face multiple misdemeanors and felonies.

Then, on Tuesday night, CUPD officers arrested Eric Todd Ditmore. At approximately 6:30 p.m., dispatch received a call about a bike theft in progress in the area of Williams Village.

When officers arrived, they found Ditmore, who matched the description that was given by the caller, standing at the bike racks. Ditmore was arrested for misdemeanor theft and possession of burglary tools, which is a felony.

These recent arrests serve as a good reminder to everyone that you need to lock up your residence hall room, apartment or office, even if you are going to be gone for a short time.

Also, it is very important that you lock your bike with a U-lock style of lock and register your bike through the CU bike registration program.
