If you missed the first set of campus flu shot clinics, it’s not too late to get a flu shot right on campus. Employee Services will host flu shot clinics for all CU Boulder faculty and staff on Oct. 24, 28 and 31.

The next campus flu shot clinic will be held Oct. 24, 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Student Rec Center in the Ice Rink Overlook Room. Additional clinics will be held on Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Oct. 31, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., both at Kittredge Central.

All CU Health Plan members and covered spouses will receive this vaccination with no out-of-pocket payment. Members and spouses just need to show their plan ID card at the clinic. Non-CU Health Plan members can pay the $28 fee via cash, check or Visa or MasterCard at time of immunization.

Every year, 5 to 20 percent of the U.S. population contracts the seasonal flu. This results in more than 31.4 million outpatient visits, 200,000 hospitalizations and an additional $16.3 million in lost earnings from either personal sickness or caring for loved ones.

Register for a shot and help prevent and protect from the flu.
