There was a University of Colorado Boulder alumni reunion of sorts on the Feb. 1 edition of CNBC's financial show "Squawk Box."

Boulder is one of the cities featured in the show's "Opportunity USA" weeklong road trip across America that highlights areas of the country that are making money.

Chancellor DiStefano talked about the job outlook for graduating students, state budget funding and cuts, financial aid and the university's role in helping to foster an entrepreneurial environment in the Boulder area.
