Performance and Community Engagement supports students in harnessing the power of performance for effecting positive social change.
Students work collaboratively to create performances and workshop experiences and in-class readings provide the theoretical foundations that serve as the basis for creative work. This course is open to all forms of performance - music, dance, theatre, film, etc. The undergraduate course, THTR 4029, and the graduate course, DNCE 5048, typically meet in fall and spring semesters.
Below is an example of a project Performance and Community Engagement students have been involved in.
