Sociology Courses

The CU Boulder Sociology Department offers BA, MA and PhD degrees. Our Sociology courses help our students appreciate, understand and analyze culture, social organization, human behavior and social changes.

Why take Sociology courses?

  • Sociology is a highly diverse field, offering courses on topics such as sexuality, race, culture, environment, health, population, and crime
  • Our courses provide strong research, data analysis, writing, and reading skills, preparing students for a wide variety of employment and graduate school opportunities
  • Sociology courses foster innovation, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • For non-majors, we offer courses that can satisfy many Arts and Sciences Core Requirements
