Intramural Official
The mission of Recreation Services (RS) is to promote overall student wellness. We accomplish our mission by providing organized and informal programs designed to engage the body and mind for the purposes of fun, fitness, social interaction, competition, skill acquisition, and adventure.
- Learn all rules and mechanics of selected sport
- Conduct all games in a fun, fair, and safe environment
- Keep open communication with participants before, during, and after each game
- Handle any conflicts that may arise with participants
- Learn and enforce all sport rules
- Attend required staff trainings and meetings
- Perform other work and duties as assigned
- Must be currently enrolled as a student at University of Colorado taking at least 6 credits
- High degree of initiative
- Strong customer service skills

- Ability to work without continuous direct supervision
- Availability to work evenings and weekends; as well as special event shifts as needed
Women's Lacrosse Head Coach
CU Boulder Women's Lacrosse is a competitive Division I non-varsity sports program that competes regionally in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMWLL) and nationally under the Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (WCLA).
The team has participated in the WCLA National Tournament 14 times since 2004, placing in the Final Four three consecutive years and as runner up in 2009. Each year, their goal is to win our first national championship title. The WCLA association is a unique community in which every roster is filled with girls who are not receiving any athletic scholarships, money, perks, etc.; they all compete because of their love for the game of lacrosse.
This list covers the bare minimum of expectations; additional responsibilities will be discussed upon request.
- Planning and running practice
- Coaching and subbing during games
- Being the leadership figure (setting expectations, holding members responsible for missing practice, messing around, etc.)
- Providing plays and improving our level of play to achieve our end goal of being national champions
We commit two seasons throughout the school year to our team: fall and spring.
Our fall off season acts as a pre-tryout for members. It is a zero-cut season with 3 practice times a week and up to 6 local scrimmages. Fall season runs from the beginning of September to early/mid-November.
Our regular spring season includes tryouts in January, limiting our team to 28 members. We travel 3-4 times out-of-state including the Santa Barbara Shootout, RMWLL Regional Tournament, and WCLA National Tournament. We practice 4-5 times per week, games on weekends, as well as host our annual Mile High Invitation Tournament in April. The spring season runs from mid-January to early May.
Practice times range from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.*
We follow guidelines under the University of Colorado in which at any time, they can decide our operations due to COVID-19 related decisions.
- 2+ years of coaching experience at any level
- Previous collegiate coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of women's lacrosse and current NCAA rules
Salary ranges from $4,000 to $7,000

Men's Lacrosse Defensive Coordinator
The Colorado men’s lacrosse team is currently accepting applications to fill its vacant defensive coordinator coaching position.
The Buffaloes are currently a member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA) and the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC), of which they are the defending conference champions.
The incoming coach will be responsible for leading and collaborating with the student leaders of the men’s lacrosse team. The Colorado men’s lacrosse team is a student-run collegiate sport club at CU Boulder that is consistently ranked among the top programs in the country.
The Buffaloes were previously led by the well-respected John Galvin, who built the program into one of the nation’s best and even captured a national championship in 2014.
Players at the university take this team very seriously, as it requires a high level of commitment; and we are looking for staff members that are comfortable with reciprocating this commitment to the team.
Duties for this job include recruiting student-athletes, organizing and planning games and practices, scheduling, fundraising, and coordinating with assistant coaches. This position spans the full academic year with practices and competitions during the school week as well as typically on the weekends.
This job requires occasional travel during both the fall and spring seasons.

- Uphold the culture of the CU Men’s lacrosse team by enforcing team guidelines and continuing the tradition of high standards for both athletes and coaches
- Emphasizing the important balance between academics and athletics in the lives of the student-athletes
- Assist the Head Coach with practice schedules and run practice
- Coordinate travel plans with Club Sports offices and hosting schools
- Attend all required MCLA and Club Sports Office meetings
- Arrange practice facility use during the school year
- Responsible for seeking out and responding to potential incoming recruits
- Responsible for running team meetings during the year and ensuring athlete eligibility
- Education: High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Men's Club Soccer Coach
Serve as head coach for the third team within the CU Boulder Men’s Club Soccer Program. Duration to go through November.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Running three training sessions per week.
- Manage one or two games per weekend.
- Manage all team aspects on game day.
Salary is $2,500 for the season (October to November).

Freeskiing Big Mountain Coach
The CU Freeskiing Team is looking to hire a Big Mountain Coach for the 2021-22 season! We are a collegiate competitive Big Mountain team that competes in IFSA FWQ 2* and 4* events.
As a coach, you will be responsible for conducting on-snow practices with athletes (primarily at Copper, Winter Park, or A Basin) to prepare them for those competitions, as well as helping them improve their technique and achieve their ski goals.
Previous experience coaching big mountain for a program is strongly preferred, although moguls experience also tends to translate well. We are looking for a commitment of at least one weekend day per week throughout our season, which is a minimum of 12 days.
Starting pay is $18/hr, but that can increase based on experience and certifications.

Freeskiing Park Coach
The CU Freeskiing Team is looking to hire a Park Coach for the 2021-22 season! We are a collegiate competitive Park team that competes in USASA and USCSA slopestyle and rail jam events.
As a coach, you will be responsible for conducting on-snow practices with athletes (primarily at Copper or Eldora) to prepare them for those competitions, as well as helping them improve their technique and achieve general skiing goals.
Previous experience coaching park/halfpipe for a program is strongly preferred.
We are looking for a commitment of at least one weekend day per week throughout our season, which is a minimum of 12 days.
Starting pay is $18 per hour, but that can increase based on experience and certifications.

Road Cycling Coach
Since 1987, the year of the first Collegiate National Championships, the University of Colorado Boulder has produced over 60 individual National Champions and taken home 12 team event national titles (Road Team Time Trial and Track Team Pursuit). Additionally, we have won the Overall Team Omnium at 12 national championships. Many University of Colorado Boulder racers have gone on to the professional ranks after graduation and achieved success at the highest level of the sport.
The team is comprised of athletes with professional aspirations and people who are just getting into the sport. We strive to facilitate a team where people in either description can meet their goals and have fun in doing so.
- Lead team group rides in the spring racing season.
- Help racers come up with a strategy before races and debrief with them after the conclusion of the race.
- Advise the team leadership group on preparing for nationals.
- At least 10 years of dedicated racing experience, preferably with some at the professional level.
- Two years of experience coaching individual athletes or teams.
- A passion for developing athletes to meet their goals.
Compensation is negotiable and will be based upon the availability of the coach and the amount of time they want to put into the job.

Men's Novice Crew Coach
Colorado Crew is a co-ed, club team at the University of Colorado. The team is administered by a student officer board, under the direction of the CU Sport Clubs office. CU Crew is based at Boulder Reservoir, just north of the University of Colorado. Major regattas the team may attend in a given season are, the Head of the Charles, WIRA Championships, Pac-12 Championships, and ACRA National Championship, among others.
Any interested candidates must be available from early August through the end of May.
- Oversee the men’s novice team.
- Maintain high standards of safety both on and off the water.
- Promote growth and development of student-athletes.
- Develop the technical and physical skills of athlets, with an emphasis on preparing them for varsity rowing.
- Transport team equipment to and from regattas.
- Time commitment:
- August to October and March to May: Monday–Saturday, 5:30–8 a.m.
- Winter training schedule: Monday–Friday, 6–7:30 a.m. and Saturday, 9–10:30 a.m.
- Weekend regattas: three in the fall season and and up to five in the spring
- Spring Training: March 24 to April 1
- Strong leadership/mentoring skills
- Prior coaching experience and US Rowing Level 2 certification
- Familiarity with collegiate club rowing and athletes
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledgeable about rigging and equipment maintenance
Transport of the team’s equipment to and from regattas utilizes a vehicle registered with the University of Colorado. Therefore candidates must have a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a DOT physical, pass a University driving test, as well as be comfortable driving the trailer, with a team of other coaches, up to 1500 miles each way.

Sports Club Administrative Coordinator
This position will work alongside the Team Sports professional staff in assisting with the budgetary oversight and management of club's spending and travel. There will be task specific-training, but an accounting background is preferred. Job position will require 10-20 hours per week.
