Congratulations on your acceptance to CU Boulder! We are excited to have you join our Buff Family and begin your CU journey.

Your IdentiKey serves as your secure entry point for online services and information you'll need now and later as a CU Boulder student. Activating your IdentiKey will give you immediate access to the scholarship application once you confirm your intent to enroll. You will need your IdentiKey for the mandatory Online Experience as well.

Activate Your IdentiKey

Note: It typically takes three to five business days after you activate your IdentiKey before you can access these services.

All CU Boulder faculty, staff and students receive a CU Boulder email account. We will use this account to communicate with you, so please use your IdentiKey to log in and start using it.

Complete the Online Experience, our online orientation program. You’ll learn more about advising, registering for classes and campus resources. It must be completed before you can register for classes.

You are encouraged to complete placement assessments as soon as possible. Not all assessments may be required for you, so please check with your academic advisor if you have questions about which assessments you will need to complete. Review and complete applicable placement assessments soon.

Before you start registering for classes, plan on connecting with an academic advisor. Your advisor will give you advice on registering, explain how any transfer credits will apply and answer any questions you may have. Complete the Online Experience before scheduling an appointment.

After completing the Online Experience, you will be able to register for classes. You do not need to come to campus to register. Spring registration is from Monday, December 2 at 8:30 a.m. MST to Thursday, January 9 at 4:30 p.m. MST. You may enroll for classes at any point during this timeframe.

If you haven’t done so already, the first step in the financial aid process is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and include CU Boulder’s School Code: 001370. After the Office of Financial Aid receives your FAFSA, they will be in contact with you.

Keep applying for scholarships! Visit the Scholarships website to learn more about CU Boulder scholarships and private scholarship resources.

Most everyone in our campus community will witness situations where help is needed, and what a bystander does may make all the difference. In this interactive session, we will explore the factors that hinder and promote helping and practice the range of skills for intervening effectively. This is a required session
