Transfer Student Spotlight
Blake Bosch
- Prior institution: University of California, Irvine
- Major: Business Administration - Marketing
- Minor: Entrepreneurship
- Home city and state: Chicago, IL
- Co-curricular involvement: Tau Sigma Honors Society, Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity, CU American Marketing Association
- Favorite places on campus: As a 3rd year transfer student there was a lot of catching up to do in order to graduate on time. A few of my favorite places I would study would be Koelbel and the UMC. Folsom field on game days definitely takes the cake though.
- What do you love about CU? I love how quickly it is to make friends and how welcoming everyone is. There are so many resources to network and mingle that you can quickly find a sense of community.
- Advice for incoming transfer student? My biggest advice is GET INVOLVED! Seriously, if I had not gone out of my comfort zone I would not have established a network around campus as I have. Don't be afraid to ask for help or approach someone if you think they seem like your type of person. The awkward spontaneous conversations can easily lead to a lifelong friend/support system.

Cassie Wildman
- Hometown: Thornton, CO
- Major: Exploratory Studies (intended major: Creative Technology & Design)
- Co-corricular involvement: While not involved with any clubs, I work as a part-time sales associate at The Container Store and have a great love for dancing West Coast Swing.
- What do you love about CU? There are so many more things to do and see here. The people are lovely and the weather is fantastic. It’s quite different from Northern California, but I could absolutely see calling the front range home.
- Advice for incoming transfer student? Particularly for out-of-state students: Don’t shy away from utilizing a community college for lower division classes that might still be needed. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, pay attention to how the requirements differ from your previous college, and build a schedule that allows for a bit of balance between school and life. Talk with your advisors! They’re here to guide you through your time at CU and help keep you sane in the process.

Luke Ziegler
- Hometown: Highlands Ranch, CO
- Major: Business (Real Estate)
- Co-corricular involvement: The rec center at CU Boulder is one of the best I have ever seen. I love playing pickup basketball with friends or going to one of the many weight rooms.
- Favorite spot to hangout or study on campus: Other than just at my house, my favorite place to get work done on campus is in the University Memorial Center. There is plenty of food there along with the CU bookstore. Although it can sometimes get busy during lunch hours, early in the morning it is the best spot to get work done, especially because they have a Starbucks.
- Advice for incoming transfer student? I would tell them that even if it may seem nerve racking, it will be a much smoother transition than you think. My transfer advisor guided me through the entire process and made it super easy to get comfortable. Any questions I had she answered with total clarity and guided me in setting up my academic schedule. I met some really cool people in my classes, and after only one semester at the school, it feels like home.
