As avid supporters of the College of Music and the Takács Quartet, J. McKim (Kim) and Nancy Malville were offered the opportunity to name two practice rooms in the Imig Music Building. They chose to honor CU Boulder Professor Emeritus of Music Giora Bernstein and Geraldine Walther, former Takács Quartet violist and retired viola professor. Learn more about the Malvilles' remarkable journey, bridging careers in the sciences with a shared commitment to the musical arts, and how Bernstein and Walther inspired them.

The American Music Research Center invites both undergraduate and graduate students to apply for the annual George Lynn Award by May 14. For student musicians who are planning to perform or undertake research related to Lynn’s music, the award comes with a $1K prize and supports work that takes place from May 2021-April 2022.
