Busy Season

  • We are wrapping up the busy season; please expect response times to be slightly longer than usual due to the influx of work. 
  • We will continue to complete requests on a modified first-in-first-out basis as we prioritize upcoming deadlines. For ticket updates, continue to utilize the customer portal and send all questions and requests to HRSC@colorado.edu.

Research Faculty Reminders

  • Research Faculty performance evaluations are due back to resfachr@colorado.edu no later than September 15, 2024.

Merit Eligibility

  • University staff, faculty, and research faculty will not be eligible for the merit increase effective January 1, 2025, if they meet one of the following criteria:
    • Their new hire or rehire is effective after September 1, 2024.
    • Their transfer, promotion, or base pay increase is effective after November 15, 2024.
  • Hiring units should plan new salaries accordingly. Please see Compensation FAQs for more information.

Summer Cleanup

  • We are still receiving late requests for fall and the academic year. Once these requests slow down, we will shift our attention to cleaning up expired summer appointments. In the meantime, if you have any urgent terminations, please continue to submit requests to HRSC@colorado.edu. 

Voluntary Retirement Incentive Program (VRIP)

  • HR recently announced that retirement-eligible faculty and staff may apply for the VRIP. Applications are due September 30, 2024. For more information, visit VRIP FAQs

Personnel Updates

  • Please join us in welcoming Melany Batten and Katie Nowak to the Payroll and Transactions Team. They made wonderful temporary coordinators over the summer; we are very excited to have them as permanent additions to our team!

New Resource Available

  • If you would like to recognize an HRSC coordinator, you may utilize our new Recognition Form on the HRSC webpage

Action Items

  • Submit late Fall 2024 and AY 2025 requests as soon as possible. As a reminder, graduate students and lecturers should be placed on semester contracts only.
  • Review employee rosters to ensure compensation and appointment details are correct. If you would like help pulling your roster(s), please submit a request to HRSC@colorado.edu.

  • September 10, 2024 – extended Tuition Remission deadline for Fall 2024. For more information, visit Billing & Due Dates.
  • September 15, 2024 - Research Faculty performance evaluations are due.
