Reminder: ARCE Building new security protocols start today!

Dear colleagues,

As a reminder, the new ARCE building safety protocols go into effect today, Monday, January 5. This new process is to enhance safety and streamline visitor access.

Quick Reminders

  • Exterior doors locked: ARCE exterior doors will be locked 24/7; you will need your Buff One Card to enter.
  • Intercom system: If you forgot your Buff OneCard or are a visitor, you will be able to use the new intercom system at both the north and south entrances. Use the intercom system to contact your host within the correct department via Microsoft Teams.
  • What's not changing: Your current access hours to the building remain the same--only the entry method is changing. All employees and students will be granted access during standard business hours.
  • Security reminders: Please try to keep your Buff One Card with you at all times to make entering ARCE easier. Also, try not to allow "piggybacking" or "tailgating" (someone entering behind you without swiping).

Thank you for helping to strengthen campus security to create a safer environment for everyone. Please share with your departments and units;  we appreciate your support and collaboration.

If you have questions, please contact DPS Security Services, accesscontrol@colorado.edu.

Sincerely,

CU Boulder HR, in partnership with the Department of Public Safety
