Dear HRLs,
We
Are you feeling frustrated at work?
If you find yourself thinking:
“Can they do that?”
“Who do I talk to about this?”
“I am nervous about how to approach this conversation.”
“I want to talk to someone about this, but I don’t want to officially report it.”
“I want to talk to someone about this, but I am afraid of retaliation, so I don’t want anyone to know.”
If so, the Ombuds office might be a great resource for you.
Whether it’s frustration with colleagues, work/life balance, leadership, decisions, etc., the Ombuds Office can help. Did you know that the Ombuds Office is an informal and impartial resource, and a fully confidential office? What you say to us STAYS with us. We are not mandatory reporters, and we do not conduct formal investigations. Our goal is to listen and help you find resolutions to you concerns. Call us at 303-492-5077 to schedule a time to talk.
Common concerns include:
· “I am having trouble with my supervisor/supervisee. How can I handle this situation?
· “I am not getting along with a colleague on the team, and I don’t know where to go from here.”
· “Someone on my team is making inappropriate comments and behaving unprofessionally, but the team leadership is not taking action. What do I do?”
Ombuds often engage with staff by:
· Listening fully and without judgement
· Coaching for an upcoming conversation
· Facilitating informal mediations (only if everyone involved agrees to participate voluntarily)
· Exploring and Identifying options
