Human Resources - Dates Added: Employee Management and Compliance Essentials

Employee Management and Compliance Essentials is a blended course that provides managers and supervisors with a comprehensive overview of legal guidelines, campus policies, and CU Boulder practices related to employee management and development.

This course includes live online facilitiated sessions as well as self-paced modules to fit your unique schedule. Participants who attend all live sessions and self-paced online modules are eligible for a certificate of completion. This course is for anyone who supervises employees on the CU Boulder campus. There is no cost for this course.

Learning Outcomes

  • Pre-employment essentials (position management, compensation, and recruitment).
  • Employee development guidelines and strategies (onboarding, performance management and progressive discipline).
  • Special topics in employee management (federal and campus policies and procedures related to discrimination and harassment; the Americans with Disabilities Act; and the Family Medical Leave).
