Central HR Update
Dear HR Community,
With the HR Blueprint Project well underway, we continue to review our scope and approach to ensure we deliver maximum value to CU Boulder. One area of focus for the next 12-18 months will be within Central HR, where we will focus on structuring and staffing in ways that allow us to best meet the needs of campus.
To that end, we will be making the following changes in Central HR leadership:
- AVC, Talent Acquisition and Position Management/Compensation Role:
We will backfill this position, previously held by Kym Calvo.
Employee Relations and HR Operations Leadership:
We will separate Employee Relations and HR Operations into two distinct leadership roles.
HR Operations: Going forward, Kenny Nelson will oversee the HR Service Center, HR Operations, and HRIT. His title will be updated to AVC, HR Operations.
Employee Relations:
This team will gain responsibility for performance management.
We will add a new leadership position: AVC, Employee Relations.
Following the staffing of the AVC, Employee Relations role, we will create and fill a Performance Management Program Manager role.
The AVC, Talent Acquisition and PMC and AVC, Employee Relations roles will be posted both internally and externally within the coming week.
We expect the staffing of these roles will be completed in the spring/summer timeframe.
These updates represent an exciting evolution for Central HR, as we enhance our ability to meet campus needs. We thank you for your continued partnership as we work together as an HR community to create an environment where employees can do meaningful work and envision a bright future for themselves at CU Boulder.
As always, please reach out with any questions.
In partnership,
Robyn Fergus
Vice Chancellor of Human Resources
