Becoming an Inclusive Leader

Course Description

The purpose of Becoming an Inclusive Leader series is to provide supervisors, managers, leaders, and aspiring leaders at CU Boulder with the knowledge and skills to lead their teams to be more inclusive and equitable, as well as the ability to create a sense of belonging among team members. CU Boulder is committed to building a culture on campus where everyone matters. 

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how a leader's lived experiences, identities, biases, and leadership style influence their role as a supervisor/manager in creating an inclusive environment. Select inclusive strategies to support a sense of belonging for their teams.
  • Apply inclusive practices to retain and engage direct reports. Examine ways to increase their intercultural competence.
  • Develop inclusive habits for managing performance.

Who Should Attend

This event is intended for any CU Boulder supervisor or aspiring leader who wants to learn more about leading teams where everyone matters.
