As a friendly reminder, the University of Colorado Benefits Open Enrollment ends this Friday, May 8, at 5 p.m. MT. Please review your plans and monthly premiums for the upcoming plan year to stay up to date on any cost changes. Ensure your selections are made before the 5 p.m. deadline.
Updates and reminders
Health Plans
- Children’s Hospital Colorado will now be an in-network provider for the CU Health Plan - Pathway.
- High Deductible Health Plan: deductible will increase, as will the out-of-pocket maximum.
- Exclusive Health Plan: deductible will increase.
- Exclusive, Pathway, and Kaiser Health Plans: out-of-pocket maximums increasing
- Increasing from $9,200 to $10,600 for single coverage.
- Increasing from $18,400 to $21,200 for family.
- Exclusive and Pathway Health Plans
- $100 copay for weight loss GLP-1 medications.
- Medications used to treat diabetes will not be affected and will continue at their current copayment levels.
Short Term Disability
- The maximum weekly benefit will increase to $2,500.
- The benefit waiting period for all employees will be 14 days.
- Faculty and University Staff will no longer be required to exhaust sick leave.
Optional
Employees can enroll in or increase their Optional Term Life Insurance up to $350,000 without submitting a medical history statement.
Take Action
- If you have or want flexible spending accounts like the Health Care flexible spending account and the Dependent Care flexible spending account, you will need to re-enroll or enroll.
