Employee Perks That May Surprise You
There are so many different perks here at CU Boulder! Take a look at some of the ones that may surpise you:
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness: Managing student debt? As a CU employee, you may qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness—a program that rewards college graduates who work in the public sector. To enroll, you’ll need to sign up for a qualifying repayment program. Once you make 120 qualifying payments, the federal government will relieve the remaining balance. More information about who may qualify can be found online.
- B-Cycle: Boulder B-cycle's system of 300 bikes at over 45 stations around Boulder includes 16+ stations serving CU's Boulder campuses. Bike sharing provides an eco-friendly, convenient and cost-effective way to connect to public transportation, run errands around town, de-stress and navigate Boulder without worrying about parking, locks, or bike maintenance. All full time students, faculty and staff are now eligible for a free Boulder B-cycle annual membership, an $88 retail value. The free memberships are made possible by a partnership between the CU Environmental Center and CU Transportation Services with Boulder B-cycle, a Boulder-based bikesharing nonprofit.
- Fitness Center Discounts: All employees at the University of Colorado are eligible for great discounts at a variety of gyms and fitness centers along the Front Range. Find out more about what fitness discounts are offered!
- 1:1 Financial Consultations: CU employees are eligible to meet with financial professionals from the university’s retirement plan service provider Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America (TIAA) at no cost. Discuss any financial issue—from everyday budgeting to managing debt and (of course) retirement planning. Schedule your free financial consulation online.
