She most recently received a Master's of Information and Communication Technology for Development from ATLAS. She is translating her earning into practice through facilitating the new ASSETT Innovation Incubator in which faculty members work in a community of practice to help one another implement an innovation in teaching and learning."

"Bounsou has been with me since I started at CU in Feb 2017. At the time she was a custodian spending time with a student to help with her English. As I got working with her I thought she would make a good lead at some point but didn't feel she was getting enough out of the program she was in. The ESL program came and she was eager to enter it so she could work on her English skills. She takes great pride in taking the classes, being on time and participating. It has paid off has her English has gotten much better and she continues in the program. Her hard work paid off as she was promoted to be a team lead this year."

She gave a poster at the Music Library Association's Annual Meeting in St. Louis (Feb. 20-24), she presented a 30-minute presentation at the Mountain Plains meeting of the Music Library Association in Salt Lake City (May 16-18), and she received a scholarship to attend the Association of Research Libraries' IDEAL diversity conference in Columbus, OH (August 6-7) where she co-presented a paper. She truly went above and beyond her daily duties to foster life-long learning."

"Joy devotes a significant portion of her time to learn about universal design, metacognition, and instructional design. Joy has a Ph.D. in geography and teaches human geography online. She serves as a quality matters reviewer for our online courses. In April, she attended the Online Learning Consortium's Innovate Conference in Denver. She also completed the Mindful Teachers Training Mindfully series through the Rocky Mountain Mindfulness Center. In October, she attended the CAST Universal Design for Learning Implementation Academy. She also presented on Universal Design for Learning at the Colorado Learning and Teaching with Technology (COLTT) conference, and at the CU System-wide Tech Connect conference."
