For our new CU Boulder tenure track and instructor track faculty members, the Office of Faculty Affairs sponsors a day-long New Faculty Orientation. This event takes place annually in the Fall semester, prior to the first week of class. As a new CU Boulder faculty member, you are joining a community of scholars and artists aiming to enhance the public good through their teaching, research, and service. New Faculty Orientation will provide important information, assistance, and advice to get you started at CU Boulder.

A monthly workshop series for tenure-track, teaching, and clinical faculty who are in their first three years at CU Boulder. Meet other new faculty and get your questions answered! Participation in at least 8 “Thriving at CU” sessions over your first three years will earn you a faculty development certificate. Thriving at CU covers the following content areas:

  • New Faculty Orientation
  • Thriving in the First Year: What I Wish I Had Known (Individual sessions for Tenure-Track Faculty and Teaching Faculty)
  • Thriving in the Classroom: Handling Challenges
