Norishka Pachot

Norishka Pachot was born and raised in Puerto Rico and earned a bachelor's degree in Digital and Print Journalism from the University of North Texas and a master's degree in Journalism, along with a certificate in Public Relations, also from the University of North Texas.   

Prior to beginning her doctoral studies, Nori worked for various publications in Texas, including a local newspaper in Wylie, where she served as a photographer and reporter. Most recently, she worked at a news station in Colorado Springs as a Digital Producer. Nori's research interests include race, gender, and media, in addition to media sociology. She is especially interested in artificial intelligence in news and social media interaction. 

In her free time, Nori likes to spend time with her three dogs and enjoys baking, trying new restaurants, reading a good book and recreating recipes she finds on Pinterest or TikTok.
